i think most people just like it for the idea of having a physical copy that they will own forever, i understand your view though. and sorry to say… it’s already announced that it’s getting a vinyl release.

Regardless of how vocal these consumers below me are, I sincerely hope it doesnt get pressed to vinyl. We dont need more good music with vinyl only exclusives, enlargening the vinyl market, bringing the poor audio fidelity of vinyl even more undue publicity and pushing music technology further into the inferior past. Lossless web releases are as perfect as audio quality gets, so it should be good enough for you, regardless of your silly obsession with ancient, scratchy vinyl.

I’d love to see this on vinyl, but at 172 minutes, that’s at least 4LPs, probably 5 depending on how the song breaks fall. What’s that got to cost at retail to be worth pressing in the first place. 50 bucks? 60? Maybe if they sell enough CDs, they can be convinced to release 3 double LP sets.
